How about this layout???

One of the interesting things about creating digital or paper scrapbook layouts is that given the same supplies, each individual will create something different. You saw the two layouts that I designed in yesterday's post. Today I am showing you a layout created by one of my creative team members.  One kit, three different looks!

Special thanks to Brandi for sharing this page. She said she especially loved the ribbons in this kit!

Creative Inspirations

I had photos of my daughter and me on a trip to New York a few years ago that I had never scrapped. When I created the kit "Summer Heat", those photos seemed to fit right in with the theme of that kit.

Here are the layouts I made with the kit:

Summer Heat...Available Today

It's heating up here in Arizona and this new kit represents that heat. The reds and yellows are bold like the temperatures we are having right now and the green represents our attempts to keep cool! I think you will enjoy the bold prints as well as the subtle ones that come with this kit.  Take a look...

What I love about Digital Scrapbooking

I love the fact that I can go back and scan photos from the past and use them in my digital scrapbook pages. Although I don't have a stand alone scanner, my all-in-one printer does the job for me.

One of the best things about scanning old (1980's) photos is that I can take them and make them better! I have learned some tricks along the way and am pleased with the results of tweaking a few settings in Photoshop to improve my photos.

Here is a layout I did using my new Dive In kit and photos of my oldest son when he was 4. I love making kits that go with older photos. I've never scrapped these because I took these photos before I began scrapbooking. Now with my scanner and knowledge of Photoshop, I can make pages of my kids when they were young.

Here is an example of what I did:

Dive In Layouts from my Creative Team

Just look at the adorable layouts that my creative team made with my latest kit, Dive In.

This "splash zone" layout was created by Chris. Although she lives in Australia and happens to be in the middle of winter, she designed this fun page for me to show to you!

Sue, who lives in Texas made this page showing us how they cool off this time of year in her state!

Krista did double-duty and created two layouts with her photos!

I hope these layouts inspired you to grab your summer swimming photos and start scrappin'.

Layouts with North to Alaska kit

One of my CT's used the North to Alaska for her photos of a trip to the zoo. It goes great with the Polar Bear Experience area at her local zoo.

Here are Krista's pages...

From the looks of her layout, her boys enjoyed learning about the Arctic!

Even if you haven't been to Alaska, the kit has papers and embellishments that work well for other photos.

New Travel Series Begins Today

My new kit this week is the first in a series of travel kits based on my own travels. I found when I got home from my trip, there wasn't a lot of designs to use to create pages for my photos. That's what got me started on designing a travel series.

This first one is called "North to Alaska" and although there are things included that are specific to Alaska, the kit can be used for any area whose countryside has these colors.

I hope you will find several of the destinations in this upcoming series to be useful and I would love to have your feedback on what travel destinations you would like to see in the future. Just leave a comment here on my blog.

This kit was previously released in a slightly different form at my previous store. New embellishments have been added and a clear alphabet has been included with this kit now.

Next in the Travel Series: Hawaii

Sunshine Layout from My Creative Team

I love seeing how other people use my kits in their layouts. I want to show you a new layout from my creative team.

This one is by Sue:

The magic of this layout for me is the simple clean lines and white space really highlighting her family photo!

Monday, Monday

One of the things I like best about digital scrapbooking is the abundance of ways you can get motivated just by browsing through the different sites. I love looking at other peoples’ pages and seeing how they use different products. And I love seeing how one template can produce a variety of pages as well.

That brings me to the main reason for my post this morning. We have a template challenge going on in our forum. What does that mean?, you ask. It means that you can register in our forum, click on the topic “Template Challenge” and then go to the post for the July Template Challenge. In that post you will find the most adorable template for the month, created by our own Miss Mis Designs, and then an example that she created to get your juices flowing. The template is provided at no charge for you to download and play with. To become part of the challenge, simply create your page and then upload it back into that post thread to be considered for prizes related to our monthly challenges. (See rules in the for what you can win.)

Here’s the template for July:

So start the week off right…take the challenge and get a great template to use again and again!

Layouts from My Creative Team

Brandi and Arianna both created adorable layouts using my recently released Kraft Kit. While it may be obvious that heritage photos look great with this kit, these ladies have shown how recent photos work well too!

Brandi converted her photo to a sepia tone and it blends very well with the papers.

Arianna created a page with a recent photo that was left unchanged. The white background and neutral colors of the photo make it a great choice for these papers, too.

Brandi also did a layout with the bright Sunshine kit that was released this week. The kit has happy, fun colors in it and she used a couple of photos of her daughter on this page.

I did a Mother's Day layout with this kit using a template that I created. Anyone who signs up for my newsletter before July 15 will receive this template for free! Use the sign up form on the side bar of this blog.

Free when you sign up for my newsletter

Each week I try to give you some layout ideas using my recent kits to get your creative juices flowing. I hope you are finding inspiration from these!

More Great Layouts...

One of my more popular kits has been this kit: It's A Girl Thing". The pink and brown color combination is terrific and works for all ages of our girls.

Here are some wonderful layouts from my Creative Team that will have you scraplifting their ideas.

This first one is by Wanda...

I love how she took some of the elements and clipped paper to them to get a different look. An example of that is the brown polka dot butterfly.

The second layout is by Brandi...

Brandi used one of the word arts in this layout and framed her girls with the lacy frame that was part of this kit.

Brandi made another QuickPage for you. Enjoy this fun page!

New Ideas for Layouts

My creative team has been working hard to create new layouts with my products. Let me show you what they have done...

Using my Grad Night kit:

Sue (txncutie) created this page for her daughter's graduation from college.

Brandi (bmccoy05) designed this layout using her own graduation photo.

You can find this layout as a quick page on her blog. Or here is the link to download this free quick page right now.

Using my Open the Door kit:

I have another wonderful layout from Sue using this kit for her ancestry pages. The rusty alphabet and elements really work well with sepia-toned heritage photos.

Brandi designed this page with current photos showing the versatility of this kit.

Hope you enjoyed these new ideas! Watch for more ideas coming tomorrow!
