Creative Inspirations

Here's a few layouts made with my "Cookies 4 Santa" kit available now at my store in Scrapable.

This layout is by Renata, one of the great CT's at Scrapable.

Wanda, another wonderful CT at Scrapable, created this layout about her family Gingerbread House tradition that evolved into a Gingerbread Train.

And here's my layout of my niece and nephew in front of the Christmas tree at last year's family gathering on Christmas Eve.

I hope you get some inspiration for your next layout by seeing these layouts from my team and me.

Coming Home - a kit for Thanksgiving and more

I am pleased to show you my new kit for this week called "Coming Home". I have included embellishments for Thanksgiving but all of the papers and most of the elements could be used throughout the year. I loved working with the deep, rich colors of this kit and hope you will like them, too!

Plans for the Holidays

As more winter holidays approach, here's a few reminders of items to take photos of to document your life around the holidays. With Thanksgiving next week, that is my focus in this post.

Here's what might be on your list of photos:

* grocery shopping - either in the store or a photo of the bags of groceries sitting on your counter at home
* the cooking process showing  you and your helpers preparing the food for your meal
* any special handmade table decorations that your child made or any that you made as a family
* the table decorations and settings before anyone sits down at the table
* the food you prepared for your meal
* at the table(s) with guests seated, ready to dig in
* separate family photos and/or photos with friends
* family traditions that occur on Thanksgiving
* after the meal, whatever the activities are such as watching football, napping, playing games, the clean-up, etc

You might also want to document special recipes you used, so copy those and your menu to include on Thanksgiving layouts.

Watch for my new kit coming out tomorrow that you can use for your Thanksgiving layouts. It is called "Coming Home". This weekend, I will show you a couple of pages that I made with that kit using my Thanksgiving photos from last year.

Travel Destination: Arizona

I have a new Travel Destination kit for you this week. As the snow begins to fall, we welcome quite a few visitors looking for warmer weather. Our temperatures have cooled down to a very comfortable range so I thought this might be the perfect time to introduce Travel Destination: Arizona.

You will find colors of the Southwest in this kit along with city names, National Park signs and a blank tag for you to name the destinations you visited. If you are a resident, the colors should work well with some of your everyday photos as well as for the places you have travelled to around the state.

Stay tuned tomorrow for layouts with this kit and watch for a surprise gift on Saturday!

I {heart} Paris -- a new kit

This kit started out as a request from a friend and just kept growing! In the beginning, I was wondering what colors to use for a Paris kit  but once I decided on the colors, it was clear sailing. Now that's it's done, it is so much more than just a kit to use to scrapbook photos from Paris. Most of the 55 elements could be used on any layout and that's just what a couple of my CT's did. (You will see those later this week.) So look at this kit with an open mind and think how you could use this kit.
