I have been scrapbooking since 1996 and have learned lots of tips and trick and techniques to make some layouts and projects that I have truly been proud to give as gifts as well as keep for my family to enjoy. There is nothing that makes me happier than to have someone in the family sit down and reminisce about a time in our lives after looking through one of the many scrapbooks in our home.
A few years ago I took on a new challenge - digital scrapbooking. There were programs offered from various companies and I tried them. Times were changing and digital products of all kinds were being introduced. I had heard about Photoshop Elements but wasn't sure I wanted to attempt to learn how to work such a seemingly complicated program. It seemed to be for graphic designers and people that used it in their jobs rather than a software program that a novice could use.
Then one day I decided to take the plunge! I took some classes, read some tutorials and made my first digital scrapbook page. I loved it! And I loved the fact that I could do it! I wasn't too old to learn new tricks and since then have continued my learning using various Photoshop products.
That leads me to this blog and this post. If you have been wondering about digital scrapbooking, I encourage you to "Take the Plunge". I haven't quit scrapbooking using beautiful textured papers, dimensional embellishments and beautiful ribbons but I do love the challenge of making a beautiful digital scrapbook page, too!
