Who's Ready for a Challenge?!

The team at The Digichicks spent a lot of time in December creating some of the most exciting and creative challenges that I have ever seen! The challenges will do just that -- challenge you to try new things that you may not have tried before. Several designers are involved in the challenges, offering free stuff for you to use to complete the challenge. That's a real bonus! And other challenges will teach you some things that you may not know about. Check out the photography challenge by Chloe!

All of the challenges are designed to get you motivated to scrap and document your life. Just click here to enter our Challenge Forum and decide which of the challenges you want to try this month!

Here's the template Southern Serenity is offering in the template challenge this month:

Time for March Challenge...

I am hosting another challenge this month at Scrapable. It is the Photo Challenge. It's an easy one so just check in the Challenge forum  to win points and coupons by playing along with our challenges.

I take sooo many photos at one single event that I tend to make layouts that have more than one photo on them. Are you the same way??? If so, this challenge is for you! The challenge this month is to make a layout with multiple photos on the page. The more, the merrier, in this case. Let's go for a minimum of 3 photos. Go grab your photos and get started. I can hardly wait to see what you create!

Here's the layout I made as an example:

This page was made using my latest kit, The Third Month. Come see what's happening at Scrapable today!

Fresh Ideas!

Here's a few layouts using my latest kit, Fresh. You can find the kit in my store for just $3.99. It contains 17 papers and 37 elements. Take a look at how my CT and I used the papers and embellishments on our pages.

Renee created this layout that makes me look forward to the spring and summer! She used a new template from designer Template Dreams called Scallop Layers Templates. You can find those templates and more in her store at Scrapable.

I created my layouts from the template I created for February's Template Challenge at Scrapable. Even though it is the same template, I changed things around on the second layout to make them slightly different. Of course, the different papers, embellishments and photos make them look different, too.

I'd love to see any layouts you create with my kits. Just leave a link to your gallery in the comments. Who knows...there might be a reward for you taking the time to share your pages made from my stuff with me!

Another Challenge for you from me!

One of the new Challenges we have this month at Scrapable is the Photo Challenge. I was excited about this new challenge and I had the perfect idea of a photo to use for this February Challenge!

My challenge for you is to create a layout with a photo of two people kissing! February is the month of love, after all, so hunt up those kissing photos and make a layout. (You can have more than one photo on your layout as long as at least one of them is a kissing photo.)When you are finished, upload it to the Photo Challenge thread in the forum.

Here's my example:

I can't wait to see what YOU come up with! Show them off!!!

Are you a Font-aholic???

I love finding new and unusual fonts. I look for ideas on blogs, I browse through font sites and I check the credits for layouts that have fun fonts.

Each month at Scrapable we host a Font Challenge and I have found a lot of good ones there. I've even hosted the challenge a time or two.

This month, here's what we have for you: Janda Curlygirl found at Dafont.com. Wanda is the host for this font challenge and I encourage you to give it a try.

Here's the page she created using the Janda Curlygirl font on the title:

New Challenge for August

I am hosting a Pinterest Challenge this month at Scrapable and I just wanted to share with you what it is all about. I saw a similar idea (probably on Pinterest!) and just had to do one for myself. The idea is to take a screen shot of your Pinterest boards and then make a layout with that as the main photo. As you can see from mine, I kept it large enough that the boards were my ONLY photo on the page. Later I can look back and see what I was interested in at this particular time and see how my interests might have changed.

Come play along with me at Scrapable and show me your "take" on this Challenge!

UPDATE: I put the instructions on how to take a screen shot in the challenge post at Scrapable but I will include them on this page, too.

On a Mac: Open the page in your browser that you want to copy and hold down Command, Shift and the number 3. You should see a jpeg copy of your entire desktop show up on your desktop! Open your photoshop program then open the saved jpeg from your desktop.

On a PC: Open the page in your browser that you want to copy. Press the Print Scrn/SysRq button at the end of the row of function keys on your keypad. That puts the page on your clipboard. Open your photoshop program and the page you are creating and press Ctrl + V to paste it on your page. If you have Vista or Windows 7, you can use the built-in Snipping Tool to capture the screen you want to copy.

March Mega Challenge at Scrapable

If you have never tried a challenge before, I have just the one for you. It is an easy challenge. The only requirement is that you use papers and embellishments from the Mega Collab for March. Here is what that kit looks like.

Each designer from Scrapable creates papers and embellishments for this kit so you get over 80 elements, 69 papers, 3 alphas, word art and 8 templates. And you can get it FREE by spending $10 at the store or purchase it on it's own for only $5. That is a great deal!!!

Here are a few layouts that have been made with this kit to give you some ideas.

You can find the challenge here in the forums at Scrapable.
